Oneplus Open/V Fold key specifications are leaked by a tipster online. This is the first OnePlus foldable phone ever. Though its sister brand Oppo has been in the foldable market for a while now. But this is the first foldable smartphone from OnePlus.
Yesterday, the exclusive first look of the OnePlus Foldable was shared by Unbox Therapy on YouTube. No specifications of the device were shared. So we didn’t have them until now.
Today, 3 Oct, a reliable tipster, Digital Chat Station on Weibo shared some key specifications of the OnePlus foldable smartphone.
According to the tips of Digital Chat Station, OnePlus foldable a.k.a. OnePlus Open or OnePlus V Fold, will feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship SoC paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. The Storage used is the latest UFS 4.0.
The tipster shared some details about the display of the OnePlus foldable. The outer display of the device is an 6.31 inch 1.5k OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate.
The inner display is 7.82 inch 2268x2440p also OLED with 120Hz. There is no confirmation about whether it’s going to use the latest E7 AMOLED display or last year’s E6 display.
The camera specifications of the OnePlus Open is very strong on paper as a foldable smartphone. On the rear, the main and the ultrawide are both 48MP sensors along with a 64MP telephoto that can deliver 3X optical zoom and up to 5X lossless Digital zoom. The front facing camera of the outer display is a 32MP and the inner front facing camera is a 20mp sensor.
Digital Chat Station said that the OnePlus one will offer a 4805mAh battery paired with 100W fast charging. This makes it the fastest charging foldable smartphone to date.
These specifications of the device mostly match the rumored specifications of the upcoming foldable of its sister brand Oppo, the Find N3. Also in the interview of Pete Lau, the Founder of OnePlus in the Unbox Therapy channel, Pete repeatedly mentioned the collaboration of OnePlus and Oppo. So this might indirectly mean the OnePlus Open will be a rebranded phone of Oppo Find N3.
