Huawei Mate 60 Pro Officially revealed: here’s detailed specifications and pricing

Huawei has surprised everyone by quietly unveiling its latest smartphone, the Huawei Mate 60 Pro. This is surprising given the significance of this launch, and the fact that the company chose to reveal the product without any prior announcement or launch events. The device is listed on the official website for pre-order revealing detailed specifications, features and pricing.

The Huawei Mate 60 Pro features a 6.82 inch 120Hz refresh rate OLED display with a resolution of 2720 × 1260 and symmetrical bazel. The display supports 1440Hz high frequency PWM dimming and 300Hz touch sampling rate. The display is also capable of displaying 1.07 billion colors which will ensure a perfect visual experience. In addition the display features Huawei’s second-generation Kunlun glass protection.

The Mate 60 Pro has a 50MP main camera with OIS and f/1.4-f/4.0 variable aperture, a 12MP ultra wide camera and a 48MP f/3.0 telephoto macro (3.5X) camera with OIS. On the front of the device it has an unique triple punch hole which features a 13MP f/2.4 selfie camera and 3d face recognition sensor

Huawei hasn’t yet verified the processor used for the Mate 60 Pro. It is expected to have a 12 core Kirin 9000s chipset with a self developed Maleoon 910 GPU. The processor’s 5G capabilities are still uncertain. The device features 12GB of RAM and upto 1TB of internal storage. The Mate 60 Pro comes with Huawei proprietary HarmonyOS 4.0 out of the box.

One of the most impressive features of the Huawei Mate 60 Pro is its satellite calling capability. Other OEMs previously had satellite connectivity features but those are only limited to messaging but with Mate 60 Pro it is possible to call during emergency in remote areas.

The Mate 60 Pro has a sizable 5000mAh battery with 88W fast wired charging, 50 wireless charging and 20W reverse wireless charging. Some other notable features include an IP68 rating.

The Mate 60 Pro will be available in four colors, Black, Purple, Green and White Silver. The 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant of the phone priced at priced at 6,999 yuan ($960).
