The foldable smartphone market is getting matured rapidly. With the new attempts of different brands helps the manufacturers understand what might work for a phone that needs to fold in half. Foldable phones are quite different from traditional phones or even tablets. There are so many things to follow carefully because they can’t put every high end, most powerful thing inside the phone as it needs to be fit and lighter as well.
Currently, most of the smartphone brands are joining the foldable smartphone race. OnePlus, one of the most popular smartphone brands seems to finally care about the folding phone industry. There were rumors about the upcoming OnePlus V Fold. Now we have some very interesting characteristics of the device.
As per the Hi-Res renders shared by Smartprix, we got to know the design of the OnePlus V Fold. Alongside the design, the phone has some unique features that no other mature manufacturers are offering.
The renders confirm that the OnePlus V Fold has a triple camera setup including a periscope camera. Until the V Fold, no there brands even not Samsung offered a periscope camera to their 5 Gen of foldable releases. But OnePlus is doing this because the phone seems to be also a camera centric phone.
Rumors suggest that OnePlus V Fold will offer Sony IMX890 as the main sensor. Though we are heavily expecting brands to use the new Sony Lytia camera sensors. There will also be a respectable ultra-wide camera along with the mighty periscope zoom lens. The front exterior camera will include an Omnivision OV32C sensor. Overall the phone will be a strong competitor for all other foldable phones in terms of camera hardware.
The OnePlus V Fold will bring the iconic Alert slider to the Foldable smartphones. Smartprix renders also confirm this news. But one thing that might not sound groundbreaking is that there will be no under display fingerprint scanner. The biometric security will be confirmed with the side mounted fingerprint scanner embedded with the power key.
With all these goodies, OnePlus V Fold launch should take into place in the 3rd quarter of 2023.
