Samsung is nearing the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. Detailed Specifications of the device leaked online ahead of launch. Even though Samsung is one of the first companies to release a folding phone they were lacking behind in terms of hardware innovation compared to the Chinese brands like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo and Huawei. Samsung is finally bringing some massive improvements to the Z Fold 5 design.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will finally fold flat without any gap in the middle. It will use a water drop hinge. but some reports say that the crease is much larger than that of China brand mobile phones. The crease is only 15% less than Z Fold 4.
The Fold 5 will have a 7.6″ QXGA+ AMOLED, 120Hz on the inside and the Cover display will be a 6.2″ HD+ AMOLED. Qualcomm’s latest and most powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Soc will power the device. It will feature 12GB RAM and upto 1TB of internal storage.
Leaked information suggests that the Z Fold 5 the camera lenses protrude more than on the Z Fold 4. Which could mean an improved camera system. The Fold 5 will have a 50MP main camera 12MP ultra wide and 12MP telephoto camera. At the inner front camera it will have 4MP under Display selfie camera and a 10MP Outer selfie camera.
The Fold 5 will have Android 13 out of the box and expected 4 years of software support. The phone will feature a 4,400mAh battery with 25W of wired charging. The battery capacity seems low compared to the latest foldable standard. The Fold 5 rumoured to have IP58 rating.
