vivo’s upcoming flagships X100 Pro+ has been tipped to release with Samsung’s next generation E7 AMOLED display.
In 2022 and 2023, Samsung E6 AMOLED display was the one stop solution for every major flagships smartphones. It’s because of the high brightness and power efficiency. Now the next version of E6 AMOLED display is ready to adopt by the smartphone manufacturers.
In October 2023, we covered the news of Samsung E7 AMOLED display to go on mass production. Now the same tipster suggest that vivo’s upcoming two flagship phone will use the new E7 display technology.
On May 4, a Chinese tech blogger shared a promotional banner like image of vivo X Fold 3. That alleged promo material of vivo X Fold 3 exposes the display specs of the device.
Samsung E7 AMOLED Display specs
According to the alleged promo material of vivo X Fold 3, it will use the new Samsung E7 AMOLED technology. The resolution is 2K for both inner and outer display. It uses the latest LTPO 8T Technology which ensure the efficiency further by reducing the refresh rate as low as 0.5Hz.
DSC, a popular Chinese tipster also suggested that upcoming vivo X100 Pro Plus (may name X100 Ultra) and vivo X Fold 3 will come with this new generation Samsung display.
We still don’t have enough information about the specifications of the new E7 AMOLED display. But we will hopefully get them once more smartphones with this display start to reveal.
