The current Xiaomi mainstream Mi 13 series was a massive success for Xiaomi. With the stunning hardware combinations, the software magic of MIUI took the experience to the next level. With the great success of the Xiaomi 13 series, fans are waiting for the upcoming Xiaomi 14 series. For those fans, we collected all the rumors and leaks that are available online regarding the Xiaomi 14 series.
Though the launch session of Xiaomi number series is during the winter, we still have some leaks on the specifications of the device.
Tech blogger Digital Chat Station confirmed the codenames of Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro. The codename of the standard Xiaomi 14 is Houji and the codename for Xiaomi 14 Pro is Shennong.
As per some rumors from other sources, the Xiaomi 14 will offer a 6.44 inch 1.5k flat OLED display. Flat display have become a trend since the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi tends to stick with this formula. This time, the bezels will be extremely narrow. We already saw aggressively slim bezels in Xiaomi’s mid-range phone Redmi Note 12 Turbo/ Poco F5.
Flat panels are more practical in terms of gaming and overall strength of the screen. Though curved displays look immersive to the eye, many people prefer flat displays over curved panels.
We also have some information about the performance of the Xiaomi 14. The device will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The base variant of the Xiaomi will offer 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. The UFS 3.2 storage will be used in this device. Though we expect the latest UFS 4.0 with the Xiaomi 14 series. We have to wait a few months to get some clear information about it.
The battery section seems pretty standard for 2023. Rumors say that the Xiaomi 14 will offer a 5000mAh battery. Xiaomi will use the same Silicone-Oxygen battery technology that they used in Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. The Xiaomi 14 will also offer standard 90W fast charging. Though we still don’t have any information about which phone to come with Xiaomi’s Solid State battery technology.
We also got some rumors on the camera hardware of the Xiaomi 14. There will be a 50MP main camera with the large 1/1.28″ sensor size. Details about other sensors aren’t available for now. Though smartphone brands should start using Sony’s new LYTIA sensors.
