That’s because it’s based on same TSMC 4nm architecture that was used in Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 series. Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 is a underclocked version of 8+ Gen 1. Most of the features are untouched except the max frequencies of CPU and GPU.
As per the brief documentation of by Qualcomm, Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 has triple 18-bit ISPs. The ISPs also supports 10-bit capturing in both photo and video. This chip now supports up to 200MP camera. The ISP of the chipset can capture and process up to 108MP images with zero shutter lag(ZSL).
As per the video capturing capabilities, now this Snapdragon 7 series chip can capture 4K videos at 60FPS for the first time. It’s predecessors could also capture 4K videos but they were capped at 30FPS. Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 features HDR video capturing like it’s previous 7 series chips. It supports video formats like HDR10+, HDR10, HLG, Dolby Atmos. New AI based face detection, auto focus, auto exposure features will be used for videos as well as photos.
Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 also supports Bokeh Video with the help of flagship 8 Gen 1 Bokeh Engine. This will also help better detecting subjects in portrait mode.
