OnePlus is expected to launch their latest flagship phone the OnePlus 12 in December 2023. We already started to have some leaked information about the phone. OnePlus used to make affordable phones with flagship level hardware and smooth close to stock android software that tech enthusiastic consumer’s really loved. But hype around their smartphones are gone after they merged with Oppo and increased prices.
With the OnePlus 12 they are introducing some interesting new features in hopes of getting some hype. With the OnePlus 12 they are rumoured to bring 24GB on phones. some flagship phones are still using 8GB Ram. iPhone 15 is expected to have 8GB ram this year after only using 4/6GB Ram for years. And the new generation of flagships at the end of the year will use 12/16GB Ram.
Some other leaked specs suggests OnePlus 12 to have a 6.82” QHD+ 120Hz E6 AMOLED display which may be the same panel from the Oppo Find X6 Pro. The Find X6 has a really good display with peak brightness of 2500 nits. So it’s not a bad thing to use the same display on the OnePlus 12.
The OnePlus 12 will come equipped with Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship SoC the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 5G. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 scores 1,930 in single core and 6,236 in multi-core which beats industry leading A16 bionic chip from apple.
The main camera on the OnePlus 12 is set to have a IMX 807 (1/1.28″). Some of the upcoming flagship phone’s this year like Xiaomi 14 will use this sensor. The phone will also have a 50 ultra wide and a 64MP periscope telephoto camera. Selfie camera will be 32MP. Selfie camera position changed from Corner to middle.
The phone will have a large 5,000mAh battery with 150W ultra fast warp charging which is increased from last year’s 100W charging. Any other information about the phone currently unknown.
